I don't trust arc reviewers at this point. they have sex for the first time at 71%. bitches spent more time jerking off than talking. the whole plot was ? bc it was so obvious that it was her "friend" who kept calling her a whore. shit was insta love but 3 years later he's stalking her bc he SAed her but it wasn't her who did it. ![]() imagine reading 16 chapters of them spending their "one night stand" i was bored out of my mind bc there wasn't any smut either. i mean genuinely nothing dark nothing happening. ![]() the next 50% were just, oh? ok? but at least kal showed up <3 the only reason why this book is getting 2 stars is for kal. the first 50% is all fluff and cheesiness and just fucking boring. i wouldn't have known it was a dark romance book if the blurb didn't have say it was. This book literally was the most BORING book out there. was the plot ehhh in the first book? yes but at least the smut was good and the characters were loveable. ![]() Where do i fucking begin? i've never been more disappointed with a book especially since i liked the first book. “And you, Riley fucking Kelly, are beautiful in a way that’d make the constellations weep.” “You have scars, but they don’t have you.” I’m not sure if either of us is breathing anymore. ![]()

Better yet, though he’s only on screen for a second he’s suddenly a widely recognized celebrity-until a news feature on childhood obesity complicates things, and he discovers that he needs the friends he’s blithely been blowing off. Wanting only to fit in at his new California school, Mitch goes to an open casting call and against all odds lands the part. ![]() ![]() Instant fame as the goofy-faced star of a series of soft-drink commercials goes to a lad’s head in this insider’s-eye view of the Hollywood Dream’s ups and downs. ![]()

Roommate sarina bowen6/8/2023 ![]() ![]() He hopes his parents will have softened toward him and will let him stay with them until he can afford his own place. He has an old car, his clothes, his knives and skillet, his precious sourdough starter and about $600 to his name. Now 26, he had been in a three-year long relationship with a closeted country singer, but it imploded spectacularly and he’s come home for a fresh start. He went to culinary school and, most recently, he’s been living and working in Nashville. He was homeless for a while and then found a shelter for queer teens which helped him get on his feet. ![]() Roderick Waites was born in raised in the Colebury area of Vermont but left home at age 18 when he was kicked out on account of being “gay AF”. There are more queer romance books coming from authors such as Garrett Leigh, Annabeth Albert and many more. ![]() Roommate continues the True North series, and the very end introduces the True North World set in and around the gastro-pub of Vino & Veritas. I had not listened to Stephen Dexter before but the sample I tried was good and anyway, if it came to it, two out of three ain’t bad as they say. I’m also a fan of Sarina Bowen’s books so the combination was irresistible. Teddy Hamilton’s narrations are a powerful draw here at AudioGals and I am not immune. In an absent dream by seanan mcguire6/7/2023 ![]() I actually think the world building behind the ‘Troll Market’ was really well done and was impressed by it’s creativity. She’s a child who always felt like a bit of a misfit and ends up going on an adventure to a world that feels like home to her. The protagonist, Lundy, is a good enough protagonist. ![]() In an Absent Dream was, however, one of the better ones. The idea behind this fantasy series is intriguing, and there’s no denying that McGuire is a skilled wordsmith – but I have been inconsistently convinced by these books. It’s the 4th novella in the Wayward Children series and I wasn’t entirely convinced by it’s predecessors:Īs you can tell by these ratings, this series has been a bit hit and miss for me (and yet I keep on reading). I have to admit, I was a bit on the fence about starting this book. Alas, everything costs at the goblin market, and when her time there is drawing to a close, she makes the kind of bargain that never plays out well. When she finds a doorway to a world founded on logic and reason, riddles and lies, she thinks she’s found her paradise. ![]() ![]() Synopsis: This fourth entry and prequel tells the story of Lundy, a very serious young girl who would rather study and dream than become a respectable housewife and live up to the expectations of the world around her. ![]()
